cant happen, although i did have an idea to use vox to hook a 27mhz CB radio up to a GMRS and make a 2 way translator. you could really extend the range of those GMRS radios if you link em up to a lower freq band

you definetly should get a compressor/limiter. the signal path after the transmitter can either go into an antenna or through an amp and filter. as long as its 50 ohms and rated for your power output. you should only need a filter if you get an amp, but like they say, overkill isnt always bad. you'd...

the one im interested in is between 25.67 and 26.1 mhz bx band. and im sure a 28.000-29.7 ham version would be the good ham counterpart. i dont know how you'd feel or how well a transmitter made for between 26.5 and 27.9 would do. i would assume various regulatory agencies would look down upon havin...

would it be possible? we have a broadcast band on 11 meters and 2 way bands in ham, mars, etc. :o

Bypassing internal compression in the PCS AM Tx's
