You might want to check out http://www.soundprocessing.nl/index.html. Some great advice for using Waves for sound processing. I use Chain 2 with the high's opened up. It rocks.

I've left my SWR inline for monitoring the power output but I like lights and meters to know what's happening. Just remember that every extra connection you have will decrease your power output. So if you want the max power output keep it as simple as possible and the cable as short as possible.

You have to use a SWR to determine power. I use needlenose pliers to adjust it and not had any problems. It turns fairly easy so don't use a lot of torque.

I'd use the best coax you can get for a 90' run, common RG8 could drop your signal power by half or more at that distance. The best cable is Belden 9913, for a good comparison of differnet cables and db loss look at the chart for attenuation at http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/cable/coaxperf.h...

The PCI Max software controls both the on/off of the PCI Max card and what frequency you transmit on.

My PCI Max is currently connected to a Slim Jim with decent coax. It's currently just leaning in a corner of the room (need to run some coax to the attic) and I get from 3/4 mile to 1 mile. Of course your mileage may vary depending upon terrain etc..

Think it's time to put a order in for a bit more power. An fcc commissioner says go ahead and broadcast... :o
