NO power out on MAX III
Hi folks. Bought a max 3 about a month or so ago to replace my Max II. I looked for the manual on this site but was unable to find it; everythinig is now Max 3+ and Max 4. No power out. I can hear it in my place but that's about it. What should I do to check the condition of the transistor (final ou...

expanding/compressing coils
I know about increasing voltage in, but I read in the manual for the MP3 & MP4 that you can get a little more power out by compressing coils L2, L3, & L4 (I may have the numbers for the coils wrong.) Would that make a difference for the MP 2 exciter also?

Looking for decent RG-8 cheap?
HEADS UP.....As of 12/10/05, I found 50 feet of RG-8 coax with connectors at Radio Shack for only $20.00. Thats marked down 50%. It is rated at 52 ohms. The thickness (diameter) of the cable is about twice what my other RG-8 is. This is just for everyone's information. (I don't work for RS.)

guess I need some help
HELP....i am having some problems with some stuff. #1. I live in a major metro area in the states. There are technically NO FM channels open in this market, but I have found a few that are clear at least two channels either up or down, and no stations within 90-100 miles of me on the same freq. I am...

excuse my ignorance, but what would that accomplish? If I remember, in series the voltage would be equal to the sum of all voltages, in parallel the voltage would be the same at all points...i.e. 14volts. Hooking all three together would be the same as in parallel. I couldn't go from (-) to (+) (ser...

power supply outputs
actually, there are: 3 (three) @ 14volt outputs. 1(one) @ 12volts, 1 (one) @ 45volts, 1(one) @ 5volts, 1 (one) @ -30volts (the polarity is reversed on that output). This power supply came from a very expensive Panasonic "PRO-LINE" vcr. I had two of them that I bought in 1989 (for $1200) fo...

found a great poower supply!!
Marco, I pulled apart an old VCR and yanked out the power supply. Found that it had multiple outputs. 1@45v, 3@14v, 1@12v, and 1@30v(reversed polarity). These measurements are w/o a load. When I hooked it up to my MAX II X-mitter, the voltage dropped from 14v to 12v. I would like to use the 45v outp...

harmonic & (update)
thanks marco...good answer..it makes sense now. For an update on me, I have moved my freq from 93.9 to 107.1. There were some bozo's in this market that went on @ 93.9 with 150Watts and blew me off while gaining attention of the FCC. They busted these guys twice, so I deceided to move my 5 or 6 watt...

part 15
most likely i'm wrong, but i think it is now in distance of signal. Like 100 feet or something. When I was 15 yrs old, I had a pirate AM transmitter. Under part 15, AT THAT TIME(1963), it was "100mw and not more that a 10 foot antenna"- for AM transmitters. So I guess that if you were in a...

Sweet set-up
If all of the components were in the same box, how big of a power supply (current, volts & watts-plus a fan I imagine) would be needed and what would be the best way to interconnect everything). And is there a certain power supply that you would reccomend?
RADIO-I like it all in one box-MAN.
