I am sorry but I think the lightning got it :( Regards, Marko Looks like if lightening struck my J-pole antenna, it would have fried my whole PC. But it could have just been a power surge like what fried my ethernet ports and my router. I did some more troubleshotting. First of all I ruled out the ...

PCI max 3000 stopped working.
My transmitter card stopped working the other day and I am not sure why. But want to rule out lightening or a power surge first. We had a storm a couple of weeks ago that lead to a 10 second power outage. Afterwards I discovered I had no internet access on my main PC and my PC in my garage (that I h...

Latest software update lets you turn card on/off at start-up automatically so such workarounds are no longer necessary. I'm trying to find the latest Cybermax version on your website but I'm not having any luck. The version I downloaded was in July of 2011. I'm at work so I don't know which version...

Drastic range increase. Temperature related?
I decided to raise my antenna by 3 meters to get the J-leg section above the rooftop on my metal garage to see if I could increase my range. I was thinking the metal roof could be deflecting the signal into outer space. After raising the antenna I went on a test and the signal went dead about 1.6 to...

Things look good. For more range you'll simply need more power, that's all. 15W might be enough. Correct me if I am wrong in case I misread someone's post but with this transmitter can you replace a resistor to bump the power up from 3 to 7 watts? Should be the PCIMAX3000+ model I purchased last su...

It's more of a 2.5 km radius. The signal starts to fade after about 2 km especially when I go into dips and valleys. The terrain here in East Tennessee is not flat and lots of hills and valleys and is surrounded by mountains so recieving an FM signal from even a commerical radio station is hit or mi...

J-pole antenna and wattage question
Just got through mounting my J-pole antenna. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd148/turbofiat/misc/Jpoleantenna1.jpg I built it out of 1/2" / 13mm copper tubing. My antenna is tuned to 92.1 I built using using a J-pole calculator. I have it mounted to piece of water pipe which also secures a ...

Toggle between sound car and transmitter?
I got my PCIMAX3000+ transmitter up and running but can't remember how to toggle between the transmitter and the sound card.
Even after I reboot my PC the transmitter takes over without even starting the MicroMax V40 program.
Thanks!

Software documentation
I've got my PCI MAX 3000 up and running but I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to use the software. I printed off the manual but can't find much on how the software operates. I haven't had much time to fool with it other than taking a transister radio outside to test the range. I'd rather r...
