Wow that's a bad annoying noise. I can confirm on my PCI-MAX V1 that when it is set to any power level or freq, that with no modulation it gives a total dead carrier. Have you tried running your PCI-MAX off a 12v battery to eliminate any PSU noise? Also try running it totally outside the computer ca...

I have made a homemade 12v UPS running a 12v ATX power supply (seems silly to me to have a 12v battery converting to 240v then back to 12v for the motherboard) for my system and have the PCI-MAX connected to this. When the system is on charge the voltage climbs to 14.5v and can go as low as 10v when...

12 Months of Owning The PCIMAX 3000+
Well what can I say; I have now run this card for 12 months 24/7 without a single problem. It really has changed the way I listen to my music and I would not be without it now. Marko has been extremely helpful when I had many technical questions to ask him. Main thing to get the best sound quality f...

I thought so, but as the IC's on the board have their markings removed I wanted to be sure. On another note how can the poilet level be changed? on my unit the level is set at 5.1kHz according to my analyser which is well below the requirement of 6.0 to 7.5khz. What effect will the lower level it is...

I tried it and did not let the full MPX signal pass through. I got very poor stereo seperation. I already have SAM Broadcaster but found Breakaway Broadcast processor gives a far superior processed sound in every way. I use SAM as the player then into BBP then direct to the PCI MAX. Without being ab...

PCI MAX 3000+ MPX
Hello, Will the PCI MAX 3000+ accept a full MPX input via the anolouge input? The reason I am asking is I am looking to generate the MPX & RDS signal with Breakaway Broadcast and want to test with the PCI MAX to see the diffrence in sound qaulity with a view of upgrading to the MAX PRO 2000. Do ...

Go into SAM configuration options then select 'audio mixer pipeline' then click 'air out' on air 'output settings', select direct sound output and under 'output device' select USB Audio Device (This is the PCI MAX 3000 sound device) Click OK and all should be done. I recommend that you take a look a...

I fully agree with what you say. Breakaway broadcast makes the PCI Max 3000+ into a real audiophile sound. I have spent a lot of time tweaking the settings and the below picture is what I have finally settled on. Cutting the base level down which I found was a bit overbearing, allows the modulation ...
