Problem with MaxPro 3+

I have the power turned down to 1 watt out and am feeding the RF to a commercial dummy load rated at 15 watts from 3-300 MHz. The problem is that the red LED comes on based on the level of audio input. With no (or very low) audio appled, the transmitter runs consistently and current draw from the 13...

MaxPro 3+ heatsinking

The final transistors on this transmitter are enclosed in a metal housing. I want to add a larger heat sink to these finals and am unsure how to go about it.

Can I disassemble the metal housing and use its hardware or must it for some reason remain intact?

The Max Pro 3+ is catagorized as a kit, yet at the bottom of its page (in the order section) it is described as assembled...

I'm a bit confused as to the differences of these 2 kits: The manual download link on the web page for the 4+ is actually the manual for the 3+ The web page for the 3+ lists its advantages over the MAX PRO 4, but not the MAX PRO 4+ The web page for the MAX PRO 3+ lists only the MAX PRO 3 in the sect...
