Software to stream in DVB-S

Hi I have a link that is a bit similar to the one manufactured by PCS. It works, but I have a question. I would like to stream in DVB-S in order to use a satellite tuner (Dreambox) at the transmission site. A question is of course if there's a software that I could use to create the transport stream...

And now to a strange fact. We have crappy radio in Sweden, but no pirates. The authorities don't have funds to look up pirates, but still no pirates... I wonder why...

This is what I do. First of all I have a webcast. This is received approx 50 m from a cable headend nearby and then broadcasted to a small 300 mW transmitter that is just enough to feed the signal to the cable network. Then in the other end of this little city I have a tuner and a 10W transmitter st...

Well, I'm going for a SW tx quite soon. I'm going to use it as a DRM link of the station to a cable headend in a city. The cable covers around 300000 habitants so it would mean a great boost. Any suggestions on which would be best (cheapest alternative of course) or should I wait till next year when...

SAM3 is excellent. It's easy to work with, the automation works perfectly and it has built in AGC (or you can use Sound Solution for example). It sounded perfect on my radio tx. Really professional sound. I vote for this soft after trying it and others.

You definately need to get the antenna higher up or even recoordinate it. Try Radio Mobile to calculate where the best position would be and then try to recoordinate it.

I normally use "fundamental overload" to pin point a radio station's antennas if there are more than one possible broadcast antenna within let's say 100 m. In one case there was one GSM tower with 2-3 possible broadcast antennas and then approx 50 meters from there one possible broadcast a...

Now that makes things much more interesting. This would mean that if running a content server and the TX together the AM Max would be quite interesting for DRM transmissions?

Improvement of the AM TX:es to comply to DRM

Why not make it possible to adjust the bandwidth so that one can choose between, 9, 10 and 20 kHz for example. Plus maybe other modifications making it possible to transmit in DRM. The software exists and works hence most users can already have a content server. It's just the transmitters missing...

Hmmm, during all the years I did pirate radio there were no drugs or other criminal offences in connection to the radio transmissions. Maybe a beer or two, but that's all. It's almost amusing how the counterpart always involve drugs, smuggling, stealing, criminal offences, trafficking etc when they ...

Especially interference can be an interesting issue. I have checked the frequency (107.9 MHz) I use and no one is supposed to use it within a distance of 400 km. Also there are no other stations transmitting on the nearest freqs. The closest one is on 107,6 MHz and it's 60 km away. Should be a perfe...

I'm pretty sure about one thing. The higher your antenna is the better coverage you get for your 100 watts. The same with the antenna. The better antenna, the better coverage. If you have your antenna on ground level your 100 W will not be much worth and the coverage will be a disaster. Put it on a ...

No matter whether you get too popular in Europe or in FL, USA, I'm pretty sure you'll become a hunted person... You're just too much competition, but you don't have a licence which also means it's easy to get rid of you.

There is a problem here. The authorities can sit like the three monkeys in the TV ad; see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing, but the problem is that the stations you're competing with, no matter how worthless they are, won't sit silent. I ran a pirate station in 1991-1992 consisting of one main tra...

I think this depends on which area I wish to cover and where the site is. If the site is outside a city and you wish to cover the city a yagi could be preferable as well as 5/8 can be quite sufficient if you are within the area you wish to cover.

Here in Sweden we also have something more or less like LPFM where you get a licence for a county from 10W and up. A civilian can't get that licence, but can always start a private company (just on paper) and get the licence. However you might have to time share the frequency depending on where you ...

Does it work toge...
