Tamper Alarm for remote TXers.
Mark, Heres a simple suggestion for an optional module. It is a simple card with a set of N/O and N/C contacts which detect an alarm condition (Such as the TX being lifted or opened... or, perhaps, the rooftop access door being opened) Upon tripping the alarm... either: - An audible alarm signal is ...

Or, since you're already interested in FM broadcasting why not use RDS. A simple Atmel microcontroller and an RDS decoder IC will cost way less than 10eu and the whole thing can be built on veroboard. - You will have the satisfaction of doing it yourself. - You will have integrated your FM broadcast...

I am not quite sure what linking had to do with this thread, but... The relationship between linking over an STL and 'privacy' is hardly difficult to understand. When remote linking your antenna and TX can be on a rooftop a few miles away... whilst your TX can be located quite simply, the link 'can...

Re: Transmitter with a PC
Have you tried to build in a PC inside the transmitter instead of building a transmitter inside the PC ...? LOL. check out 'SBC' on google. An SBC or 'Single Board Computer' is exactly what it sounds like... An entire computer built on a single tiny board. They can easily run your choice of ...

Its all to do with 0's and 1's.... Its really boring stuff and I really can not be bothered to explain. But i will say this... if you are not familiar with base 2, base 7 or base 16 then dont even bother to try and grasp the concept of this as it will just confuse you. LOL, someone sounds confused....

ok, all that stuff seems to be verry well, but the problem is the price!!! Is there anything cheaper? or are there any older things i can find for a smaller price? There are cheaper, but your unlikely to be satisfied with the result. Some of the 1 Watt transmitters available are VERY cheap. The pro...

This is not appropriate for small scale broadcasting, such as 1W transmitters. I agree, but for different reasons than that which you gave. As mentioned above digital has a signal threshold below which you just lose the broadcast entirely... so, yes, for a digital broadcast you need a stronger tran...

Well, it isn't so difficult from what I've seen although the skillsets involved are perhaps a little different from those analogue radio engineers may be used to. 1./ Modulation method. DAB uses a QPSK and OFDM which has more in common in WAN networks than conventional radio broadcasts. Certainly it...

Our stuff is 90% our products, developed in house. OK, Cool. We are inside EU so you probably do not pay import fee, correct? Or are you in a special VAT-free zone? Well, we're in the EU for most things, but not for others. The rules are different for here than for the Spanish peninsula - possibly ...

New broadcaster - Few questions
Hi, First of all I'd be interested to hear from anyone who knows the situation in the Canary Islands (spain). We're real small here in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria but the band is packed from 88-108 and everyone is stamping on each others signals... its a listeners nightmare. This leads me to believe ...
