PCS 800W Low Pass Filter

I am running and testing a new amplifier with all the modules (power supply, 600w pallet, filter, etc) just on the table before put them inside the rack and the filter warms up, I can barely touch the coils and board even after turning the system off. I wonder if this is normal or the filter tempera...

I have replaced R37 with 3k3 and the output is about 5.5 watts now. I have also found the cd manual and I have compressed and expanded some coils reaching nearly 8 watts. This is enough to drive the pallet but I will have to use a fan because the Max Pro final transistor is running too hot. Thanks f...

I got MAX PRO IV+ from PCS in 2005 I think. Also I bought SE4 DSP encoder and RDS MAX 2.0 and upgraded to 3.0.
If you have no support I understand. Thanks.

MAX PRO IV+ with 600W Pallet

Hello, I drive the 300W fm amplifier with just 1w from the Max Pro 4+, but I have just bought the 600w pallet and I need a minimum of 6w of rf input and I can not reeach more than 4.5w from Max Pro 4+. What can I do? The power supply can reach 15Vdc - 4Amps (14V adjusted), the power from the lcd lcd...

There is no version printed, just the model and dated on 2005.
If you could show me the resistor I would connect a trimmer.
Thanks.

SE4 DSP Stereo Encoder 19KHz pilot output level

Is it possible to reduce the 19KHz pilot level?. I can hear it on the radio and I think it has been increasing since I bought it.

Thank you.

Re: 15W replacement final transistor

If you are sure that the transistor is broken cut the fingers and use a solder. After that, replace the 15w transistor PD55015 for maxpro 4+ and when you use the solder again try to substract the heat from the body with a small heatsink while you are soldering.

Max Pro IV+ 15Khz Background Noise

Hello again. I can hear a continuous noise, about 15.000 hz on the radio when SE4 DSP encoder and Max pro4+ transmitter are connected. It is a low frequency wave and I am not sure if it comes from the encoder or it is generated by the transmitter. One thing I have noticed is that if I put my finger ...

After spending some hours trying to find where the fault is, it seems to have a wrong value with the C12 capacitor. It was assembled a 5nF capacitor (red body) instead of a 470nF capacitor.

I bought this board assembled, I hope it helps to the PCS team and everybody.....

MAX PRO IV + Background noise on modulation.

I have this transmitter working in mono mode and I have realized that, when the music is playing, I can hear a noise that seems to increase especially with low frecuencies and disappears when the music stops. It appears to be as the PLL makes a phase correction.

RDS MAX3.0 Fault

Hello. I have recently bought a RDS MAX 3.0 and it has been working properly showing the station's name, radio text, etc. But I have realized that during the last week the station name has dissapeared and there is no RDS signal any more. The green led doesn´t blink or light at any time. Thank you. C...
