Well after running ok for a while the driver crashed when I had to replace a network card. Now I can't get the 2006 driver to work no matter what I do. The unable to open card move card etc errors. Total uninstall and install of the 2004 driver has it running again for now. This is on Win2kpro.

For standalone use with a PC for the PCI Max how about a USB interface and some simple serial control software? Could put a USB soundcard in the same enclosure and get rid of a lot of the PC noise (not that mine has a lot but some sneaks in from the cheap builtin soundcard).
