You are over modulating, you need to reduce your audio input level, there are no "adjustments" on the actual board. Remember you cannot sound like a large commercial station unless you make large investment in audio processing equipment.

Injecting multiple frequencies into a single antenna is possible by using a FM Star Point Combiner, these are expensive units and cost is determined by the power level but for a 6 way low power options expect to pay around 10,000 - 20,000 plus Euro but price is decided when the manufacturer receives...

Thank you for your test of the different antenna, your report is interesting but I have several questions. 1). What was the antenna's actual height above ground level when you conducted your tests? 2). During your tests did you take multiple readings in different area's encompassing 360 degrees from...

Hello yo8ryf, Scale 1 - 10 removing final on 15W board is a 5 so not so tough. You need to locate a store that sells "solder braid" most Radio Shack type stores carry this item. Remove the heat sink from the board, best to remove board completely, use a good solder bolt at least 40watt. Pl...

Are you taking RF drive from your exciter to the booster?

Did you check in-line fuse on booster?

Just kidding, sounds like you are having some kind of atmospheric inversion/anomaly. Another possible cause is timing, as you know there are many frequencies only used at certain times of the day, it could be that you propagated 20 miles because the "other station" was off the air at that ...

Hello gkramer, Your question is one of polarization and we assume you would "like" the Exterminator to be circular. This is interesting because a CP antenna is probably the "biggest" FM marketing gimmick of all time. The question of polarization for FM is confusing. once upon a t...

Hi S,

You cannot combine 2 signals at different frequencies into the combiners. The signals must be at the exact same frequency and in phase.

Hi John,

The heat sinks on the MP3+ sandwich the transistor, these are rectangle in shape, one on the lower part of the PCB the other on the top, secured by two nuts and bolts.

That said not sure what advantages you would achieve by enlarging the existing sink, you should be running a cooling fan.

Spacing of multiple bays: Spacing between bays (Wavelength) in inches = 11803 divided by the Frequency in MHz. INTERBAY FEED LINES. They must all be the same length for proper phasing and power distribution of the antenna, if your spacing is 1/2 wave or full wave your cable should match, see formula...

This indicates that some metal components are not in good electrical contact. First, check your antenna mounts, then other tower/mast components, be sure that any paint has been scraped away and all mounting hardware is tight. Any metal part in poor contact with the tower will constitute a non-linea...

CyberMax FM Lock Problem

Curtley, When the PLL unlocked light comes on under the environment you described it is always due to overload on the audio/modulation circuits, reducing the audio input level will elminate this issue, or if you have the DSP model set the threshold to -18 or -21 dB this will act as a limiter within ...

UK new Broadcaster question

Andy, The PCI card with an external antenna like the Comet 5/8 wave is good for up to a mile, if you are looking to broadcast 10 miles then you will need a clear line of sight in the direction/area you wish to blanket, once you have established this then you know where the antenna has to be located,...
