Just ignore what Marko has to say. After all he has abandoned all the AM people because there isn’t enough profit to be made out of you. Obviously, if you felt the structure to be unsafe you wouldn’t drive with it up!!! Having said that people do, take a look at the photo’s. impressive mag mount htt...

AM Mobile Aerial

Hello everyone, Just wondering if there is any interest in a mobile aerial for the AM band, well the top part anyway. I have been experimenting with a comercial amatuer 160m unit and have redesigned the coil. I am using it at present on 1350khz. When I say mobile, I dont actually mean whilst travelli...

intesting

Celspid, I notice Marko didn't answer your question as to, Did PCS sell to the Indonesian company or did the company sell to PCS. PCS always gave the impression the transmitter was their own creation and implied that they had now developed an up-date with DSPversion for us all to enjoy. It would very...

Station Display

I have an AM Tx made by myself the LCD display is controlled by a pic 84 It has the ability to display the station name on the second line under the frequency. The up/dn buttons control letter shifting etc. Cosmetic I know but does look good. Thought some people might like it

OTSDJ and RDS

Hi Can anyone think of a way to use OTSDJ with RDS. It needs to output track info to a txt file. I would have thought it would have had this function as its meant for radio. I want a one computer solution not outputting to another machine running winamp or virtual cables, flexconnect etc. Zararadio w...

Marko, I think I may have found the answer. I have a very good precision power supply and have taken to turning it on/off from its mains input rather than from DC out. Even whilst 4amps are been drawn from it, it can take 6-7 sec before the voltage slowly decays.I can only assume the RM-1 needs to s...

Marko,

Are you suggesting that the circuit detects power off and uses the charge in the cap to write data to memory before the cap itself discharges taking around 1-2 seconds and not used to keep active a memory area drawring uA's for a number of years. Like a very mini UPS

Marko, Thanks for the prompt reply. The problem is as I understand it, If I remove the 0.22F cap from the board and charge it up it holds the charge at 4.5v indefinitly. It has a natural leakage of 137uA. One would assume the memory back-up current would be below this as it has an estimated hold time...

memory problem with micro max RM1

Hi Marko, I have just started to put together the encoder and RDS part of my project and have a problem. The micro max ST-1 and micro max r-1 combination seem to work fine. but I am having a problem with rhe RM-1 holding data after power down even for the shortest re-cycle. There is 4.5v across the ...

I appreciate you are involved in every aspect of your buisness and have very little time to spend on this forum. sometimes people want to intergrate products into their projects and it is very difficult without a circuit diagram. I need to have manual control of RF inhibit on the maxpro3+ . I need i...

First of all I would like to say I am not complaining nor do I have a particular intrest in contrast control. The reason I spoke to you originally about contrast adjustment was I had viewed your latest manual on the ver 4 display, and looked at the tips section and compared it to my version who's pc...

I appreciate the circuit diagram is the same as other versions with components omitted for different models but I would like a pcb layout for ver 30 5/2006. For instance, in the manual for v4 under tips/hints and as you say we have discussed before, there is a ref to changing the contrast using a va...
