We have prepared this solar-powered setup for special applications, such as remote areas without electricity and re-broadcasting from a mountain top or other remote location.

This solar-powered system consists of several key components:

A SOLAR POWER ASSEMLBY - provides power to all devices in the system
1.) 2x14W solar panels (included)
2.) Charging controller (included)
3.) Lead-acid battery (not included due to weight, get one locally, car battery will work)

B LINK SYSTEM - enables transmission of audio to the remote location, such as mountain top
1.) Microwave link system, receiver, transmitter and antennas, up to 5Km range (included)

C FM TRANSMITTER - enables transmission of your signal to hausehold radio receivers
1.) 15W FM Transmitter with DSP processor (included)
2.) Comet antenna (included)
3.) 5m coaxial cable, H155, with connectors (included)

Note that you will also need various mounting hardware, a way to protect the electronics from natural elements, a pole or a tower for your antenna and some basic wiring skills to connect everything together.
Rechargeable lead battery is not included.

Important: Two included 14W panels will easily power the transmitter at sunny daylight, but won't provide enough juice to charge the battery for the whole night. To ensure 24/7h operation at 15W you need at least 2 extra panels. The other option is to reduce output power to about 1-4W. This reduces current consumption considerably and can ensure 24/7 day/night operation. Note that 4W from a mountain top often easily beats a transmitter operating at several hundred watts from an antenna mounted at ground level.

How does it work?
- You will install the microwave link transmitter at the studio. Stereo audio signal (two audio cables) will go directly into the microwave transmitter.
- Microwave link receiver will be located at the mountain top. You will connect its audio output to the FM transmitter (audio MPX input).
- FM antenna connects to the FM transmitter
- Solar panels will charge the lead-acid battery and power the microwave link receiver and the FM transmitter.
