I'm using a "slim Jim" antenna. The instructions indicate that the "Jim part of the name stands for "I= intigrated M= match". I assume that that means I don't need a Balan - the impeadence is matched between coax and antenna, and the coax is not acting as an antenna itself and more power is going to the antenna. But either the coax or the antenna is balanced and the other is not--right?
So, should I use a balan? Or does it matter with a "slim jim"?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance..
