I noticed you don't have a manual for the SE6000 DSP version. I was wondering how does this encoder compare to a professional processor such as the DSPX-FM. I see on the page it mentions multi-band limiter and compressor (which is what the pro unit has). How does the sound quality compare? The DSPX is very expensive in comparison, so if it's only a small improvement over the SE6000, then it's not worth the cost.

Indeed, part of this is the reason that we are still working on improving firmware for this encoder.

A manual will be issued soon as well as stereo processor in a rack similar to current 4000 model (based on SE5000).

Unit is definitely better than the old SE5000, but not as good as units costing >1000 euros of course.

...but not hardware, correct? I will probably be ordering in a month or two and I'd like to wait if there's going to be a new revision of the hardware (not talking about the rack mount, just the PCB).

The main/only thing I'm getting with the >1000 encoders is more dB, right? I'm not so much looking for loudness, mostly quality.

Right now I have your SE2000 and it's good, but I have to use an EQ to bring down frequencies above ~14khz because it causes some clipping. Also the volume compared to other stations is a bit less, but hard to notice so it doesn't bother me.

I see the SE5000 has a multiband compressor. How many bands?

Hardware is fixed.

At this time we have 3 bands.

SE2000 is decent, but SE6000 AN+ is excellent analog stereo encoder.
