UART protocol, is there a way to turn off pcimax 3000

Post by luggage »

Hi,
is there a command to turn off the pcimax 3000 v2, i.e. into the default state after power on (by the way what is the default state)?
When using the github pcimaxctl tool, setting the output power to 0% (F0 command) does not turn off the transmitter.
Also, the source code comments notes valid range of 0x03..0x21 but uses 0x04..0x21, which one is the correct range?

Why don't you check the manual? Do you need this for linux? Windows version has auto power off or on at startup and even a scheduler so it can turn on and off at different hours.

Even if power is set to zero there might be very low signal present, enough to be heard 5-6 meters far.

I need this for linux, yes. The PC is powered on permanently, but I like to be able to switch off the transmission, if possible.

The linux driver is developed by open-source community so can't help you there directly.

But if you need any specifics regarding protocol email me directly, I will be glad to help out. The protocol should be obvious from the posted sources though.

I tried to contact you via "contact us" on your HP (obviously unsuccessful) - as you are admin you can probably as easy pm me, cant't you?
I would be very happy with any kind of source code/docs. Thanks in advance.
