ICs in "Stereo encoder IV from BiasComms"

This is the place where you can ask questions
related to schematics posted on our website
and request new schematics. We will try to post whatever is possible.

ICs in "Stereo encoder IV from BiasComms"

Post by lernith »

Sorry for what is probably a stupid question, but I'm not used to working with ICs with more than 8 pins:)

In the schematic http://www.pcs-electronics.com/schematics/stereo.gif , is the 4066 a "CMOS Logic DIP-14 Quad Analog Switch", the 4060 a "CMOS Logic DIP-16 14-Stage Binary Ctr", and the 4013 a "CMOS Logic DIP-14 Dl D-Type Flip-Flop" (I just searched mouser.com and wrote the first thing that came up)?

I'm making the eye-opening transition from class-A amps to digital prosessors, so play nice:)

Thanks!

Edit: this is disheartening-- what is the 4863 kHz in the small type between pins 10 and 11 of 4060? Do I need to design something to oscillate at 4863 kHz....?

You are correct as far as those chips are concerned.

The 4864 is the quartz crystal that can be purchased from our
components section (hard to find in normal stores).

Thanks pcs--
I don't have $50 worth of things to buy, tho:(
Would it go by any other name (I can't find it elsewhere)? Would anything that oscillates at 4864 kHz work?
