MAx Pro IV Loosing Power

Post by stylzmovement »

My Max pro IV came to me with a heatsink installed, when I run the unit at 10 watts it will loose power, the power will drop from 10 watts to 3 watts this is due to inadequate cooling of the heatsink, if you have the same problem you can install a larger heatsink or install a fan above the existing heat sink.

The board needs to be mounted to metal enclosure of appropriate thickness to provide
cooling. A miniature PC-style 40x40mm fan is nice, too.

Power down is protection mechanism, built into the unit intentionally to protect
it from overheating.
