pcimax 2005 problems

Post by johntomko »

I have used several versions of the pc radio transmitters over sevaral years and have not had problems until now. I had this card (pcimax 2005) installed on a different computer and it worked okay. When I moved the card to a new computer (running XP Pro SP2) I get access violations. I cannot make it work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled; I've moved the PCI cards to various slots; I even re-formatted my hard drive and started from scratch. I cannot make it work.

When I click on the PCI Max icon, I get a message that says "Unable to open PCI Max card <try moving the card to a different slot or reinstalling the drivers> I/O error 105." XP sees the card and the drivers are installed. XP says it works properly.

Any ideas or advice would be welcome.

2005 and older models have problems with some of the new
motherboards. Use it in older PC, if you can.

2006 does not suffer from this problem.

When it doesn't work like that (2005 model) the driver usually doesn't help.
Still I'll keep my fingers crossed.

By the way, how do you guys like the new forum style?
We're working on avatars as well, it would be good to have them back.
