Anyone ever try a DDRR Antenna?

Post by erobertg »

The DDRR antenna is used by hams from 160 to 2 meters.

It's a vertically polarized low profile antenna can be made on 15" square ground plane and only 3-4" high when adapted for FM band use.

Here is a design which evolved for 2 meter use. Go to the bottom for a working model...

I tried it on 11m once, it did not perform good,
but it was a rather flimsy design. I remember it was
relatively small, which should be its main advantage.

Keep us posted.

That's what I was thinking. It's small, low clearance and very portable.

For FM, 15" square by about 3-4" high can be set-up very quickly with a magnetic base.

BTW...Didn't you said there are some new antennas coming?

With the new site, yes. 2 new types, but they're for small power.

Also some wire antennas for am.
