This antenna comes tuned, you need to specify frequency at the time of ordering.

It is a decent antenna, works very well.

The only downside to this antenna is that it is narrow band so if you change frequency you have to re-tune it.

Due to its unique construction radiation pattern is such that your range is
better when you use ... exterminator of course.

Indeed we are selling quite a few of these lately.

Well, it is omni antenna, horizontally it radiates uniformly in all directions.

Vertical pattern is low towards the horizon which is where gain comes from as with any antenna.
So if you use it on the top of the hill the weak spot might be immediately under the hill, same as with multiple stacked vertical dipoles.

1KW EXTERMINATOR

Post by krushfm »

HI,

LIKE TO KNOW THE RANGE (MILES) I CAN COVER USING THE EXTERMINATOR. SECONDLY, THE SWR IS BETWEEN 6-8% @ 530 WATTS. IS IT SAFE FOR THE 1KW TRANSMITTER. IF ITS SAFE, CAN I INCREASE THE TRANSMITTER POWER OUTPUT TO 700WATTS??

THANKS

I have already answered your question about SWR in another topic in this forum.

The range depends on transmitter power, terrain configuration, soil conductivity, air moisture, how high antenna is, receiver sensitivity, exact position of receiver antenna, condition of ionosphere, temperature of air (inversion) and some other parameters.

If you can give me exact values for all these I can calculate your range for you down to 1 meter :)
