Go into SAM configuration options then select 'audio mixer pipeline' then click 'air out'
on air 'output settings', select direct sound output and under 'output device' select USB Audio Device (This is the PCI MAX 3000 sound device)
Click OK and all should be done.
I recommend that you take a look at Breakaway Broadcast Processor as this is a killer sound combination for the PCI MAX. Take a look at my settings for BBP on the previous topic.
The sound processor built into SAM gives poor results and lots of overmodulation.

There are two devices that must be seen on the PC.
One is the extra COM port, I think you see it already and you've set it up to COM3, correct?
The other is extra audio board.
I would suggest that for a start you use our control program that is standard for pcimax:
http://www.pcs-electronics.com/software ... v40_en.exe
Use it to check (just once) whether the card works as intended. Once confirmed close this
program and start up SAM. Now you know that your problem is with configurations of SAM.
You have the latest version of SAM?

1. Let me know what operating system you have, you told me the size of your disk drive, your CPU and RAM, but not operating system.
2. If you looked at the manual tell me to which port you set the USB driver. This is the one you set under control panel->system etc.
Once you tell me these two things we can continue conversation.

Is it licensed version of SAM? I believe DEMO version cuts off after some time.
Looks like the card works and you have some issues with SAM configuration.
When audio cuts off does the signal also disappear from the radio (hiss starts). If so temp
protection is being triggered and you should have a small fan in your PC enclosure to cool
the PC and the card.

Play with the settings for the DSP/sound card, the answer is there, something is not configured correctly.
If all else fails write to their forum, I know the guy who develops Sam, he is very helpful and really
knowledgeable.

Check your power saving settings, I'll bet the USB ports are set to switch off after 15 minutes. Change it so it's always on.704djs wrote:i got it working we didnt tell the cfg to send the sound directly to the card when it ask that option so now we got it working and we need to know why the sound cuts off after 15min of playing. then we found that the usb driver are drop out so we have to restart to get them back

I agree, we sold so many of these and these cards are just incredible performers.
I doubt this problem is coming from the card.
