Description
D&R warning signs (ON-AIR, RECORDING and PHONO) are something that every radio studio needs. And this one is so easy to install that it can be used in any radio studio with nearly any mixer that is capable of shorting 2 simple wires on his remote connections (GPO). All D&R Radio mixers have a simple reed relay built in that is capable of driving the ON-AIR/RECORDING/PHONE warning light directly. (current is below 100mA). No need for high voltage (dangerous) wiring and complicated relay switching. You can of course use the unit too for other brands.
The unit is powered by a 12 volt DC 450 mA external power supply that is included in the delivery. A classy plexi glass front panel with Large ON AIR letters makes this one a professional looking warning light with clear lettering when lit.
And what’s more… no hassle with how do I connect this thing to my AIRMATE-USB/AIRENCE-USB/AIRLAB or AXUM or any other mixer.
No complicated high voltage AC switching with external relays etc. etc.
What you only need is one stereo cable (wired tip/ring) coming from the MIC-ON connector on the back of the AIRMATE/AIRENCE/AIRLAB console that goes directly hard wired to a barrier strip inside the ON-AIR LIGHT. How easy is this for a change. The power adaptor (included in the delivery) will also be directly wired to the barrier strip inside the unit.
