High gain 15W/35W/50W FM pallet amplifier with 12V LDMOS
This pallet has been designed for applications requiring low supply voltage (10-15V) and very high gain. It can produce full output power from just a few milliwatts of drive power, a small VCO is already sufficient.
Each pallet amplifier we sell is designed and tested using vector network analyzer and spectrum analyzer.
Our amplifier products are manufactured using an automatic surface mount assembly process.
This pallet is optimized for 10-15V operation and is perfect for battery-powered mobile applications and solar powered applications. Using a lower voltage will result in lower output power.
It is well suited as a driver stage and it will operate down to about 10 volts.
RF output power can be adjusted by lowering the supply voltage. It also features output power adjustment trimmer and 0-5V DC signal can be used to set output power. To use this function remove the power adjustment trimmer and connect control voltage to the control pins.
As with any pallet you will need a heatsink, power supply and filter to use it.

Due to high gain this pallet can be powered practically from the VCO, an isolation
stage and shielding are recommended for stability. Practically any source you can imagine will
be strong enough to drive this pallet amplifier.
- FM band, 87.5MHz to 108MHz, will work from 80 – 120MHz at reduced power (also
available for 144MHz and other frequency bands, email for info)

- No bias adjustments or RF circuit tuning is required.

Warning: Do not exceed maximum supply voltage of 15V or damage will occur.
Note 1: Please use teflon coaxial cable for RF input (RG178 is perfect) and output (RG178 or RG142 are perfect) connections, this makes it possible to have very short leads without burning the coax. Keep the coax leads as short as possible (few mm at most). Also keep leads short on connectors, this N female flange for RG142 or .141 semirigid - easy install is perfect!
Note 2: A small heatsink is definitely needed!
